Saturday, September 21, 10:00-11:00 a.m.
Riverside Park, 2238 Rivermont Ave., Lynchburg
We will be meeting by the Little Free Library at the playground/sprayground parking lot. Wear walking shoes and bring your own water. We will open with a short introduction to contemplative photography and a prayer exercise to prepare us to see and then take a leisurely walk around the paved loop trail.
Friday, October 18, 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Thrasher's Creek Park, 223 Thrasher's Lake Road, Amherst
Follow main park road down to Lake area/parking.
Spend the morning relaxing outdoors with a breath-taking view of the mountains. Art supplies will be available. Create a vision board, try nature journaling or play around with art. If art isn't your thing, feel free to bring something to do (like a book, journal, camera or fishing pole). Bring water/beverage and a chair. We will have a canopy tent and tables set up facing the mountains and lake. Light snacks and apple cider will be provided. This park is a bit remote, so this is a chance to explore and soak in the beauty of Thrasher's Creek in a group setting.
